CLOTH CLOTH 2020

Cloth Cloth portrays simulated fabrics printed onto physical fabrics. The work is an exploration of how the subject matter can be represented in itself, both as a subject and material. A linen fabric is coated with a cyanotype emulsion and exposed together with a negative to sunlight. The image is embedded into the fibres of the fabric blurring out the lines of the virtual fabric and the textural structure of the physical fabric.
